This past Sunday I couldn't help but smile from ear to ear when I heard how Matt proposed to Allyson. There was one part in particular, however, that has still left me grinning and cramping my cheeks. Moments before Matt popped the question, he was hugging his sweetheart and holding her close. In his mind, and how he tells it, he was freaking out! He was worried she felt the square box in his pocket, worried she would figure out what was happening, worried that SOMETHING might go wrong!
Allyson, however, had a much different point of view :) Seeing as she is almost 12 inches shorter than Matt, her story is told from a lower standpoint. Moments before Matt proposed, he was holding his true love close just listening to the silence. With her head pressed tightly against his chest, she could hear Matt's heart beating. Rather, it was RACING with anticipation!! While they had walked up a little bit of hill, she couldn't figure out what had gotten Matt so worked up! haha. Thankfully, her curiosity was replaced with elation as just seconds later Matt presented her with a little blue box from Tiffany's and asked her to be his wife :)
We had such a great time with these two as we hiked all around the King Gillette Ranch, soaking in the sights, the beauty, and capturing Matt and Allyson's love. We can't wait to shoot their wedding in August!
Matt and Allyson, you guys are so great! Thank you so much for giving us the privilege of documenting your wedding. May you continually have an ear turned towards one another's hearts, both now and always.

Westin Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego: Renee and Kevin Part II
Finally! We are able to bring you Round 2 of our Gala in the Gaslamp Quarter in San Diego! (And my Gala I mean Renee and Kevin's wedding...obviously!) This is up just in time to welcome these two love birds back from their honeymoon in St. Lucia! Congratulations again Kev and Renee, you guys are so awesome! Please enjoy, and you stay classy down there in San Diego :)
A big thank you again to the wonderful, the stylish, and the pensive (see photo) Maria Longhi for inviting Erin and I along to shoot with her! You'll see model Maria makes a guest appearance in the photos in this post. There was this red painting in the lobby that we loved and I had to snap a shot to put in my "Blackmail" folder!
Make it a great end of the week; you are loved!

Downtown Anaheim: Janee and Omar's Engagment!
For those of you living in Southern California, you are very well aware of the July-esque type weather we've been having this past week. As temperatures soared past triple digits this weekend, many people flocked to the beaches, pools, and local air conditioning vents. We however, ventured out into the blistering heat of the afternoon (97 degrees at 4pm) and had a great time!
Janee and Omar were such good sports. Despite the fact that you could boil an egg on the sidewalk, this awesome duo was even more sizzling hot! Erin and I can't wait to shoot their wedding in a couple months :)
In the meantime, here are a few of our favorites from the afternoon!
