Mammoth, CA
The day began today at 5am as the alarm clock blared; signaling our eminent departure up North. We arrived in beautiful Mammoth Lakes California just before noon and was greeted by an amazing landscape filled with snow-covered mountains, crisp autumn air, and virtually nobody around! We are blessed to be up here shooting Gena and Ben's wedding tomorrow at Sierra Meadows Ranch. Without a doubt, I know that tomorrow will be amazing...and I can't wait to continue their story...and document their beginning together.

VOTE!
Finally, after constantly being bombarded with TV ads, robotic phone calls, yelling people on the street corner, this day has come. People are turning out in record numbers to vote today, I love America!
My civic duty has been done, my vote has been cast, and come this evening our nation will have a new leader! It's on days like today that I am proud to live in this great nation! While it seems as though all the candidates and the media try to do is focus our attention on all the things wrong with our government and society, the truth is we still have so much to be thankful for! There is exponentially more good than bad. We are among the most blessed people on this planet and should thank God for it daily!
So maybe we Americans should turn off the TV, remove our gaze from the stock tickers, and take a moment to enjoy the good things! :)
Have a great day in this great nation!

Ok Jack, Time For Your Lobotomy!!
Boo!!
Yeah...that phrase really doesn't have the same impact after October 31st, but I figured it was worth a shot! Yesterday was great fun! We had such a wonderful halloween just being lazy and handing out candy. And by handing out candy, I mean "Hey Erin, hand me another Reeses peanut butter cup!"
Work wound up going later than expected so we didn't get back to my parents place (where we had candy duty) until it was too late. But not to let the late night hour douse our spirits, we grabbed a couple of pumpkins, cut their heads off, carved them, cooked their seeds, and made some pies out of em!
Whilst our bellies were plumpin' with pumpkin, we popped in a scary movie to finish off the night in true halloween fashion and learning a little along the way:
1. Make sure you cut the hole on your pumpkin at an angle, or it will fall on your candle after a while.
2. Pumpkin pie made from scratch has more sugar in it than you'll ever want to know...buy em from the store to reduce the guilt (What you don't know, won't have calories).
3. The infamous "cinnamon challenge" (You Tube if you don't know) is in no danger of being broken.
4. Teenagers coming to your door dressed as a "child molester," and being rewarded for it, is a sad predicator of this nations' future!
Here are a few quick pics for ya'll. Hope you had a fun weekend!
Can you guess who carved which one??
